Specialist Accountant: Group Financial Reporting

📝 About the role

Sanlam Group Office in Tygervalley (Bellville) is looking for a Specialist Accountant in Group Financial Reporting. The role covers management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and IFRS reconciliations for the Sanlam group.

✅ Key duties

• Support the Sanlam Group budgeting and forecasting processes
• Prepare/coordinate Management Information sections of interim and annual reports
• Support MI reporting, data analytics and insights
• Perform MI to IFRS reconciliations
• Process SAP journals and maintain trial balance controls and reconciliations
• Prepare inputs for Sanlam Limited and Sanlam Life statutory reporting
• Prepare subsidiary financial statements and manage the audit process
• Maintain technical expertise in IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 17 and IAS 28

🎓 Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
• At least 4–5 years in an accounting/financial environment
• Relevant experience in the insurance industry
• SAP / Hyperion Financial Management experience is an advantage
• Data analytics and presentation skills
• Specialist IFRS knowledge (preferably insurance)
