📝 About the role

Pick n Pay is recruiting a Shelfpacker Groceries in On Nicol, Bryanston (Sandton), Gauteng. The Shelf Packer – Groceries is responsible for ensuring that grocery products are properly packed, displayed, priced and replenished on store shelves. Key requirement: Grade 12 qualification is a minimum requirement. Applications close 2026-10-21.

✅ Key duties

• Assisting with stocktaking and inventory counts
• Supporting promotional activities, seasonal displays and special events
• Helping unload deliveries and move stock to designated storage areas
• Assisting with price changes and shelf-label updates
• Identifying and reporting stock losses, breakages and wastage
• Supporting other departments when operationally required
• Complying with loss prevention procedures and security requirements
• Attending departmental meetings and training sessions

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification is a minimum requirement
• Previous experience in shelf packing, grocery retail or merchandising will be an advantage
• Basic understanding of stock rotation, expiry dates and product handling
• Ability to read product labels, shelf labels and pricing information
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift grocery cartons and move stock safely
