📝 About the role
Rob Ferreira Hospital (Ehlanzeni District, Mbombela) has two posts for Professional Nurse Grade 1 (PN-A2) with Midwifery. The nurses provide clinical nursing care within their scope of practice, work in the multidisciplinary team, and support National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital framework.
✅ Key duties
- Perform clinical nursing practice within scope of practice and nursing standards
- Promote quality nursing care
- Help implement National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realisation Framework
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors and clinicians, including report writing
- Work as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Plan and organise own work and that of support staff
- Advocate for proper patient treatment and care (Batho Pele)
- Manage resources allocated to the unit
🎓 Requirements
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Basic nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, R425) or equivalent allowing SANC registration as a Professional Nurse (2026)
- Ability to work independently and prioritise
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
