📝 About the role
Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness (Rural Health Services) needs a Professional Nurse Grade 1 to 2 specialising in Neonatal ICU / High Care, Postnatal KMC and neonates at George Regional Hospital. The role provides holistic, quality care to babies and families and supports the Nurse Manager with staff supervision. Shift work, nights, weekends and public holidays are required.

🎓 Requirements
- Basic R425 nursing diploma/degree (or equivalent) allowing SANC registration as a Professional Nurse
- 1-year post-basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing: Child, or a 4-year nursing degree plus a postgraduate diploma in Critical Care Nursing: Child
- Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
- Grade 1: at least 4 years' nursing experience after SANC registration; Grade 2: at least 14 years (10 of them after the specialty qualification)
- Willingness to work shifts, day and night duty, weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and Western Cape Health policies
- Leadership skills
