Professional Nurse General Grade 1–3 (x7)

📝 About the role

Seven permanent general professional nurse posts in the Lejweleputswa District (Welkom area). Newly registered nurses can apply at Grade 1.

✅ Key duties

• To ensure a comprehensive nursing treatment and care services in delivered to patients in a cost effective and equitable manner
• Ensure compliance to professional and ethical practice
• Coordination of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided within set standards and professional/ legal framework
• Provision of effective training and research
• Maintain professional growth/legal standards and self-development
• Manage effectively the utilization and supervision
• Provide holistic nursing care patients in a specialty unit, in a cost effective, efficient and equitable manner
• Ensure compliance to National Core Standards and ten-point plan

🎓 Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse
• A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse
• A 3-year Diploma in General Nursing (R171) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse
• Registration with a Professional Council: Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse or General Nurse
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nursing
• Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing
