📝 About the role
Life Anncron Hospital in Klerksdorp is hiring a qualified post-basic pharmacist assistant. You will supply medicine to wards and theatre and help control pharmaceutical stock under a pharmacist. Weekend work is required.
✅ Key duties
- Supplying of medication to the wards and theatre on requisitions and assist with management of all pharmaceuticals within the hospital under supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in controlling ethical inventory
- Assisting in managing dead stock in the pharmacy. Stock-take, cycle counts and investigation of variances Processing of patient credits.
- Replenishing the emergency cupboard.
- Unpacking ethical stock, checking expiries and invoices
- Ensuring that the security protocols are adhered to.
- Maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
🎓 Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Life Sciences
- Relevant clinical knowledge and experience to the critical outputs
- Understanding of pharmacy and related healthcare industry, legislation, regulation and challenges
- Pharmaceutical product knowledge
- Computer proficiency (MS office)
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to place orders as per MRP, assist with MIR6 queries, unrecorded liabilities, credits.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are not be permanently employed anywhere.
