Mediclinic Hoogland in Bethlehem is hiring a permanent, on-site Pharmacist. The role provides a professional, cost-effective pharmaceutical service to in-hospital patients and the public, in line with legislation and SAPC rules.

✅ Key duties

• Ensure availability of medicines and scheduled substances to stores and the public
• Ensure accurate dispensing
• Manage stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances efficiently
• Deliver a safe and efficient medication service
• Provide an outpatient pharmacy service

🎓 Requirements

• B Pharm / BSc Pharm / Dip Pharm
• No minimum experience; 1-3 years' hospital pharmacy experience and stock management desirable
• Knowledge of pharmacy legislation (Pharmacy Act, GPP, Medicines Control Act)
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems (e.g. UNISOLV, AS400, SAP)
• Medical aid scheme benefits, regulations and formularies
• Pharmacology, clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship
• Financial management and ethical stock control
• Training and mentoring
