Dis-Chem Pharmacies has a Pharmacist Intern opening at its Polokwane North store. The internship trains BPharm graduates across the pharmacy environment while providing pharmaceutical care and customer service.

✅ Key duties

• Perform pharmacist's assistant (post-basic) duties under a pharmacist's direct supervision
• Interpret prescriptions and capture script details accurately
• Pick, pack and label medication and know common dosages and interactions
• Instruct patients on correct use of medicine
• Advise patients at the dispensary, self-medication counter and front shop
• Process medical aid claims and correct rejected scripts
• Arrange authorisation for chronic, HIV/AIDS and oncology medication
• Maintain customer profiles on the system

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• BPharm (4-year)
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Advantageous: holiday work during degree; Unisolve and e-scripting experience
