Pharmacist Intern, Matlosana

📝 About the role

Dis-Chem has a Pharmacist Intern contract post at its Matlosana store (Klerksdorp, North West). The internship trains BPharm graduates across the pharmacy environment while they provide pharmaceutical care and customer service under supervision.

✅ Key duties

• Perform pharmacist's assistant (post-basic) acts under direct pharmacist supervision
• Interpret scripts and capture script and patient details accurately
• Pick, pack and label medication; give patients correct usage instructions
• Process medical aid claims and correct rejected scripts
• Authorise chronic, HIV/AIDS and oncology medication
• Advise patients at the dispensary, self-medication counter and front shop
• Report low/out-of-stock levels and assist with stock takes
• Follow Dis-Chem policies, SOPs and health and safety rules

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 4-year BPharm degree
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Registered with the SA Pharmacy Council (or valid work permit)
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Clear credit and criminal record
• Willing to work retail hours; Unisolve/e-scripting experience advantageous
