Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)

📝 About the role

A permanent pharmacist assistant post for the Lejweleputswa District, placed at Kgotsong Clinic in Welkom. The work covers dispensing support, stock control and pharmacy records.

✅ Key duties

• Assist with the delivery of a good pharmaceutical service to patients
• Provide instructions regarding the correct use of medicine supplied (not counselling)
• Receiving and unpacking of received of stock
• Assist with the ordering of medicine and scheduled substances up to schedule under supervision
• Assist with the distribution of pharmacy stock (Schedule 0 -6)
• Checking stock and cleaning of shelves
• Checking of expired stock, stock levels and stock taking
• Maintenance of pharmacy hygiene

🎓 Requirements

• Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification that allows registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant ( Post Basic)
• Current registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)
• Grade 1: Experience: None after registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience as Pharmacist Assistant after registration as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) with the SAPC.
