📝 About the role
Gauteng Department of Health is recruiting an Operational Manager General Nursing – HAST at Mamelodi Regional Hospital. The job involves: ensure the provision of comprehensive, effective clinical governance through quality improvement processes implementation. You need: Grade 12 + nursing diploma/degree (R425) + SANC registration + 10 years nursing experience after registration.
✅ Key duties
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive, effective clinical governance through quality improvement processes implementation
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the HAST unit in line with public health indicators
- Analyse health policies and programs with a view to develop customised implementation strategies to guide the health care service providers towards complying with stated norms and standards
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive HAST services including HIV counselling and testing (HTS),Initiation and management of ART (NIMART), Management of TB and sexually transmitted infections
- Implement PMTCT program and Prep Services
- Ensure maintenance of accurate patient records and HAST statistics
- Provide contextual planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Facilitate and advocate for the required resources for service delivery, including staff development
🎓 Requirements
- National Senior Certificate/Grade 12. A basic R425 qualification (i.e
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse
- A Minimum of 10 (ten) years appropriate/recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC. A post-basic qualification with a duration of at least one year, accredited with SANC in Nursing Management will be an added advantage
- Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Ms Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
- Financial Management
- Leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of public service policies and other health-related prescripts
- Good interpersonal skills
