Nursing Assistant Grade 1-3 (x2 posts)

📝 About the role

Two nursing assistant posts, one at Elsies River CHC and one at Morning Star CDC in Cape Town. You will give basic nursing care, help patients with daily living and monitor vital signs.

✅ Key duties

• Provide elementary clinical nursing care
• Assist patients with activities of daily living which includes patient hygiene, provide nutrition, assist with mobility and elimination processes
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormal findings
• Reporting on patient safety and adverse incidents
• Effective utilization of resources
• Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development
• Actively participating in in-service training interventions

🎓 Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant
• Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant
• Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant
• Grade 2: A Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Nursing Assistant with SANC. Grade 3: A Minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Nursing
• Will be required to work shifts, public holidays, night duty, after hours and weekends
• Must be prepared to assist in all departments according to operational needs
• Ability to work under pressure
