📝 About the role
The Free State Department of Public Works and Infrastructure needs a Messenger/Driver in the Office of the HOD in Bloemfontein. The job combines messenger services (mail, parcels, files) with driving light and medium vehicles. DPSA Circular 36 of 2026, post 36/156.
✅ Key duties
- Render messenger services; sort and arrange correspondence in the registry
- Collect, distribute and circulate mail, parcels, documents and files
- Drive light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and deliver items
- Do routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle and report defects
- Complete required records and logbooks
🎓 Requirements
- NQF3 (Grade 10)
- Ability to read and write
- Valid driver's licence
- 7–12 months' relevant experience
- Knowledge of messenger-service procedures and practices
