Maintenance Assistant – Life Flora Hospital

📝 About the role

Life Flora Hospital in Roodepoort needs a maintenance assistant. You will inspect equipment and do general building and plumbing repairs such as doors, ceilings, basins, toilets, painting and lights, working from job cards.

✅ Key duties

• Conduct inspections of various equipment and installations found at a hospital facility as per the planned dates and provide timeous feedback on problems identified
• Execute repairs as per job card issued to the individual
• Provide detailed feedback when tasks are completed and also when tasks cannot be completed in the required time period
• Conduct fault-finding and rectify problems experienced on hospital equipment
• Do basic systems settings to ensure continuous system availability
• Conduct tasks safely in accordance with the company’s SHEQ procedures

🎓 Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12
• N3 in Civil Engineering is desired for this position
• 2 years of general building maintenance related experience is desired
• Proof of competency in the following fields: all round general building and plumbing related maintenance tasks e.g. repairs of doors, cupboards, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, basins, showers, toilets, painting, lights
• Excellent communication in English and Interpersonal skills a prerequisite
• Experience in dealing with customers and patients
• Must be self-motivated and disciplined
• Ability to work under pressure
