📝 About the role

An entry-level post at the Tygerberg central laundry in Cape Town. The work is physical: loading and unloading linen trucks, sorting soiled linen and packing shelves in the linen bank.

✅ Key duties

• Provide effective, efficient, safe hygiene and cleaning practices within the laundry
• Provide a support service to Linen Supervisor
• Daily unloading of soiled linen from trucks
• Daily loading of trucks
• Return of clean linen to linen bank
• Packing of shelves in Linen bank
• Sorting of soiled linen under the supervision of the Linen Supervisor

🎓 Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience: Appropriate Laundry and Linen experience in a Central Laundry setting
• Inherent requirement of the job: Physically fit to do manual labour
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills
