📝 About the role
Wits' School of Economics and Finance is filling a Finance lecturer post created under the FirstRand Foundation endowment in financial data science. The appointee works with the FirstRand Chair to specialise in financial data analytics.
✅ Key duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Investments and/or Corporate Finance
- Conduct research and supervise postgraduate students
- Administration and academic citizenship
- Complete a PhD if not yet held and specialise in financial data science under mentorship
🎓 Requirements
- Coursework Master's degree in Finance
- Evidence of successful teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Financial Derivatives teaching experience an advantage
- PhD in Finance an added advantage
- Postgraduate supervision experience desirable
