📝 About the role
CPUT's Department of Senior Phase and FET is appointing a permanent lecturer in Engineering Graphics & Design and Technology. The appointee teaches on both the Mowbray and Wellington campuses; Wellington tuition is in Afrikaans.
✅ Key duties
- Teach EGD and Technology in the SP & FET department, incl. hybrid teaching
- Assessment and quality assurance
- Curriculum and learning-material development
- Supervise and mentor students on teaching practice
- Academic administration, community engagement and school networks
- Research and publication
🎓 Requirements
- Relevant Master's in Engineering Education/Technology Education (excl. ICT/IT)/Curriculum Studies focused on EGD or Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or Technology
- EGD as an undergraduate major
- Relevant secondary-school teaching qualification
- At least 2 years' tertiary lecturing or 5 years' SP & FET school experience
- Proficient and able to teach in Afrikaans
- Recommended: relevant doctorate; specialised EGD/Technology teaching methodology
