📝 About the role
CPUT's Faculty of Education is hiring an Accounting lecturer on a two-year contract in the Economic and Management Sciences cluster at Mowbray campus. The role covers teaching, teaching-practice supervision, curriculum work and research.
✅ Key duties
- Teach Accounting, EMS, Business Management and/or Economics in SP & FET
- Develop curriculum and teaching materials
- Supervise students on teaching practice
- Assessment and quality assurance
- Research, publication and postgraduate supervision where applicable
- Hybrid teaching and community engagement
🎓 Requirements
- Relevant Master's degree in Accounting or Accounting Education
- Honours in Accounting or Accounting Education
- Accounting as an undergraduate major
- Teaching qualification with Accounting as a major (preferably secondary level)
- 2 years' tertiary lecturing or 5 years' SP & FET school teaching
- Knowledge of Accounting/Business/Economics/EMS teaching methodologies
