Intern: Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management (x2)

📝 About the role

A six-month paid internship for two unemployed graduates living in Midvaal. Interns help with energy audits, data analysis and energy-saving projects for the municipality.

✅ Key duties

• Assist in baseline energy assessments and audits.-Collect and analyse data on energy consumption
• Help design and support energy efficiency interventions (lighting, HVAC, controls)
• Support demand-side management projects (e.g, load management, awareness campaigns)
• Prepare technical and progress reports
• Liaise with municipal / governmental stakeholders and contractors

🎓 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) or Diploma (NQF 6) in Electrical Engineering, Built Environment, Natural Sciences, Economic Sciences, or related field
• Must be an unemployed graduate (no prior full-time job in the sector)
• Good analytical and report-writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Good communication skills
• Additional training in Measurement & Verification, Energy Auditing, Energy Management, Energy Performance Certificate, etc will be an added advantage
• A valid driver’s licence (optional but advantageous)
