📝 About the role
Free State CET College in Bloemfontein is hiring a Human Resource Clerk. The clerk supports HR policy implementation, captures HR transactions on PERSAL, and helps with recruitment, leave, benefits and records. Post 35/91 in DPSA Circular 35.
✅ Key duties
- Support implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain personnel records and capture HR transactions on PERSAL
- Assist with recruitment, selection and appointments
- Administer leave and service benefit records
- Assist with performance management and qualification verification
- Respond to HR enquiries and prepare routine reports and correspondence
- Maintain HR filing and records management and keep employee information confidential
- Assist with HR audits and verification exercises
🎓 Requirements
- National Diploma/Diploma/National N Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of PERSAL an added advantage
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of the CET Act, Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act, BCEA and POPIA
- Good communication, analytical, report-writing and organisational skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft packages
- Integrity and ability to keep confidentiality
