📝 About the role

West Coast Health District is hiring two Household Aids at Vredendal Hospital (Matzikama sub-district). The role provides hygiene and domestic services in the hospital and suits someone with cleaning experience in a health setting.

✅ Key duties

• Provide effective, efficient and safe hygiene and domestic services in the hospital
• Help manage domestic responsibilities
• Help ensure apparatus, equipment and stock are used and working properly
• Provide loyal, ethical service

🎓 Requirements

• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Cleaning experience in a health environment
• Experience working with customers/people
• Able to do hard physical work and stand for long hours
• Willing to relieve in other departments
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, night duty and overtime
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, detergents and stock management
