📝 About the role
Two handyman posts, one at the East London Museum and one at the Amathole Museum in Qonce. You will look after keys, attend to building defects and help during emergencies. No experience is needed.
✅ Key duties
- Safeguard all master and spare keys belonging to the institution
- Attend to all defects in the building
- Assists with emergency situations such as elevator breakdowns; building evacuations etc
- Perform a stock take of areas of responsibilities such as keys, office equipment etc
- Ensure that all equipment is provided with the locking facilities
- Binding of Departmental immense documents
🎓 Requirements
- Grade 8 certificate / ABET level 4 or NQF leve1 – 3 with no experience
- Must be able to write and read
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
- Self – motivated
- The following will serve as added advantage: Performing General Assistant duties, exposure in the field will be an added advantage and a valid (Code 8) driving licence
