📝 About the role
KZN COGTA has two Finance Clerk posts (Umkhanyakude and Ugu districts) in Traditional Institutional Support. The clerks render accounting, payment and administrative support to Local Houses of Traditional Leaders and Traditional Councils. No experience is required, but a driver's licence is.
✅ Key duties
- Render financial services
- Render payment services for Traditional Councils and Local Houses
- Provide administrative and financial support to Traditional Councils and Local Houses
- Provide administrative support on trust accounts
- Support the management of assets of Traditional Councils and Local Houses
🎓 Requirements
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / NQF 4 (no experience required)
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of isiZulu and African culture
- Basic knowledge of financial/accounting functions, data capturing and financial statistics
- Knowledge of SCM principles, Treasury Regulations, PFMA and the Traditional and Khoi-San Leadership Act
- Knowledge of PERSAL, BAS and LOGIS
- Numerical, planning, problem-solving and communication skills
- Computer literacy in MS Office
