Engineering Assistant Level 1 (Fixed Term)

📝 About the role

Valterra Platinum is hiring a fixed-term Engineering Assistant Level 1 at Mogalakwena North Concentrator, Mokopane. The assistant supports artisans and engineering foremen with basic technical, tooling and material work on a surface/open-pit operation.

✅ Key duties

• Keep good housekeeping
• Control workshop materials, machinery, equipment and tools
• Load and dispatch materials and equipment to work sites
• Assist artisans of all trades
• Follow work instructions and safety standards
• Make sure tasks meet quality standards without wasting material
• Help maintain equipment and accompany artisans on inspections
• Promote safety and report safety issues

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science, or N3 Electrical
• Qualification documents must be attached or the application will not be considered
• South African citizen with no criminal record
• Must pass the psychometric assessment
• Good written and verbal English
• Willing to work shifts, overtime and standby, on surface and in dusty open-pit areas
• Electrical experience and a valid driver's licence advantageous
