Enforcement Officer (35/124) – DPSA Circ 35

📝 About the role

Enforcement Officer post in the NPA's Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) in Mthatha. The officer handles curator and auctioneer processes, reconciliations and payments, and helps trace assets that are proceeds of crime. Post 35/124 in DPSA Circular 35.

✅ Key duties

• Facilitate the SCM process to identify curators and appoint auctioneers
• Monitor curators/delegated officials to ensure prompt collection of money due to the state
• Reconcile curator accounts and the Criminal Assets Recovery Account
• Capture finance information (curator disbursements, fees, deposits, payments to victims) and process payments
• Investigate to identify assets that are proceeds of crime
• Collaborate with law enforcement and regulators to share intelligence
• Keep accurate records of seized assets and their legal status
• Ensure compliance with asset forfeiture laws and regulations
• Support unit leadership with case management and admin

🎓 Requirements

• B-degree (NQF 7) or 3-year Diploma (NQF 6) in Finance or equivalent
• 3 years' relevant experience
• Knowledge of PSA, SA Archives, PFMA, POCA, Administration of Estates, Insolvency, NPA, Access to Information Acts and SCM Framework
• Knowledge of finance, supply chain and information management, and NPA/AFU policies
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)
• Skills in ECMS and iBase
• Management, administration, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Valid driver's licence
