Coach, Soccer Institute (M000723, fixed term)

📝 About the role

North-West University (Mahikeng Campus) is hiring a Coach for its Soccer Institute on a fixed-term appointment (Peromnes grade P8). The coach manages and prepares the team for competitions, recruits players, runs community outreach and supports players' life-skills development.

✅ Key duties

• Prepare the team for competitions with a technical team and game plans
• Evaluate team and player performance and physical assessments
• Manage player recruitment and release
• Run Soccer Institute community outreach programmes
• Liaise with local, regional and national federations and represent players in disciplinary matters
• Manage use and maintenance of fields and training equipment
• Organise life-skills programmes for players

🎓 Requirements

• CAF Level B coaching certificate
• Registered with SAFA
• At least 2 years' coaching experience in SAFA league structures
• Diploma (NQF 6) in Sports and 3 years' university-level/USSA/Varsity Sport coaching experience are advantages
• Computer literacy, report writing, communication and leadership skills
