📝 About the role
The Mpumalanga Department of Health is re-advertising a Clinical Programme Co-ordinator Grade 1 (PN-A5) for Mother, Child, Women, Youth and Health (MCWYH) in the Msukaligwa Sub-District (Ermelo area). The coordinator implements and monitors MCWYH programmes, runs clinical audits, analyses indicators and trains staff.
✅ Key duties
- Implement and monitor MCWYH policies and guidelines across clinics and hospitals
- Conduct clinical audits and ensure adherence to the Ideal Clinic / Ideal Hospital framework
- Analyse programme indicators (e.g. maternal mortality, immunisation coverage) and develop Quality Improvement Plans
- Facilitate training and clinical accompaniment for junior staff and students
🎓 Requirements
- Grade 12 plus basic R425 nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent allowing SANC registration as a Professional Nurse (2026)
- At least 7 years' nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing
- 3 to 5 years' experience in Maternal and Child Health services (ANC, PMTCT, IMCI) is often prioritised
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is an added advantage
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Valid driver's licence
