📝 About the role

West Coast Health District (Western Cape Health and Wellness) is hiring a Clinical Nurse Practitioner Grade 1 to 2 (Primary Health Care) at Piketberg CDC, Bergriver sub-district. The role delivers and helps manage curative, child health, women's health and HAST programmes. Incumbents may be expected to work across institutions in the local health 'Ecosystem'.

✅ Key duties

• Deliver and help manage curative programmes within scope of practice
• Deliver and help manage child health services
• Deliver and help manage women's health services
• Deliver and help manage HAST (HIV, AIDS, STI, TB) programmes
• Act as an advocate for patients to ensure they receive necessary care

🎓 Requirements

• Basic R425 nursing diploma/degree (or equivalent) allowing SANC registration as a Professional Nurse
• 1-year post-basic diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (R48), or a 4-year nursing degree plus a postgraduate diploma in Primary Care Nursing
• Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
• Grade 1: at least 4 years' nursing experience after SANC registration; Grade 2: at least 14 years (10 of them after the specialty qualification)
• Valid Code B/EB/C driver's licence and willingness to travel
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team
• Knowledge of Community Oriented Primary Care
