Gauteng Department of Health is hiring 4 Clinical Associates for the Surgery (Burns Unit) at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto. They perform patient-centred consultations, emergency care and procedures within scope of practice.
✅ Key duties
- Perform patient-centred consultations across all ages
- Apply clinical reasoning to assess and manage patients
- Provide emergency care
- Perform investigative and therapeutic procedures within scope
- Prescribe appropriate medication within scope
- Communicate with and counsel patients
- Keep good medical records and work as a team
- Manage and review personnel performance
🎓 Requirements
- 3-year Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice degree
- Registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Associate with current 2026 registration
- Work exposure or further training an advantage
- Must work in the Burns Unit in a hospital setting
- Good verbal and written communication; team player
