📝 About the role
Eastern Cape Human Settlements is hiring a Cleaner for the Amathole Region office in East London. No experience is required. DPSA Circular 36 of 2026, post 36/124.
✅ Key duties
- Clean offices, corridors, elevators and boardrooms
- Dust and wax furniture; sweep, scrub, wax, vacuum and shampoo floors
- Provide kitchen cleaning and wash utensils
- Clean ablution facilities and refill soap, toilet paper and towels
- Maintain cleaning materials and equipment; report broken equipment
🎓 Requirements
- ABET level 4 with no experience
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and safe handling of cleaning materials
- Knowledge of hygiene, waste management and sanitation
- Ability to identify and report health and safety hazards
