Child & Youth Care Team Leader

📝 About the role

A team leader post at Khanyani Child and Youth Care Centre in the Amajuba District. You will lead care workers, inspect and report on incidents, and do admin and hands-on care.

• Perform team leader duties
• Undertake inspection and report on incidents and problems identified
• Perform administrative work relevant to the job
• Provide care as the need arises

🎓 Requirements

• Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Child and Youth Care Development
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions as a Child and Youth Care Worker, Only shortlisted candidates will submit proof of Current Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professio
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Child and Youth Care work
• Knowledge: Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Batho-Pele principles, The Children’s Act, Child Care Act, Children rights principles, Standard operation procedure on routine programmes, Developmental approach to therapeutic work
• Skills: Communication, Problem-solving, Interpersonal relations, Organizing Counselling, Computer literacy, Numeracy, Language
