📝 About the role
The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development is hiring a Chief Network Controller in Polokwane. You would run IT support and keep the office network, hardware and software working. Level 8 post.
✅ Key duties
- Provide IT user support to clients (office)
- Resolve IT support calls, queries or issues as they arise
- Log IT support calls on Information Technology Service Management (ITSM)
- Render IT security
- Ensure a secure environment by installation and uploading antivirus software
- Ensure that users log on to the workstation using passwords
🎓 Requirements
- Minimum requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and National Diploma in Computer Sciences / Information Technology or related equivalent qualifications (NQF Level 6)
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Information Technology (IT) Support
- Experience with hardware and software
- Experience in network support
- Experience in IT technical support
- Appropriate network management experience
