📝 About the role
Mpumalanga youth can train as traffic officers on a 12-month learnership at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta). Learners who complete it receive a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer (NQF 4). DPSA Circular 36 of 2026, post 36/272.
✅ Key duties
- Complete 12-month traffic law enforcement training at Mpumalanga Traffic Training College
- Undergo driving and competency tests
- Take part in practical training and assessments
🎓 Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate
- At least a Code B driving licence
- South African citizen, residing in Mpumalanga
- No criminal record
- Fit and proper (medical assessment for shortlisted candidates)
