📝 About the role
Wits' School of Mathematics (Faculty of Science) is appointing two Associate Lecturers (3-year fixed term) and one Lecturer. The post includes the chance to contribute to the new AMPLIFY first-year mathematics teaching unit.
✅ Key duties
- Teach all aspects of undergraduate mathematics
- Maintain active research and postgraduate supervision
- Participate in School, Faculty and University administration
- Contribute to AMPLIFY first-year teaching innovation
🎓 Requirements
- Associate Lecturer: appropriate MSc in Mathematics and evidence of near completion of a PhD; university-level teaching experience
- Lecturer: PhD in Mathematics or equivalent; tertiary teaching experience with record of excellence; evidence of research; service experience
- Specialisations sought: Analytic Combinatorics, Logic, Number Theory, Topology (all fields welcome)
