Associate Lecturer: English Home Language Literacy (Foundation Phase)

Nelson Mandela University's Primary School Education Department is appointing a permanent Associate Lecturer in English Home Language Literacy and English Additional Language for Foundation Phase student teachers. The post includes teaching, research and curriculum work.

✅ Key duties

• Develop and deliver FP English HL Literacy and EAL modules
• Design curriculum, materials and assessment strategies
• Research English language teaching and publish
• Serve on committees, curriculum development and accreditation
• Use Moodle LMS for online teaching
• Community outreach

🎓 Requirements

• At least an Honours degree in Education or English (Master's an added advantage)
• Undergraduate qualification in Foundation Phase Education
• At least 2 years' experience teaching FP English HL Literacy and/or EAL in schools
• Experience teaching in higher education
• Sound content and methodology knowledge of English HL Literacy and EAL
