Assistant Store Manager – Mr Price Home Upington

📝 About the role

Mr Price Home is hiring a permanent, on-site Assistant Store Manager for its Upington store in the Northern Cape. The role leads the store team with the Store Manager, driving sales, customer service, stock control and daily operations.

✅ Key duties

• Motivate and lead store associates
• Train and coach staff to deliver great customer service
• Work with the Store Manager to meet sales targets and monitor KPIs
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving and replenishment, and minimise stock loss
• Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation
• Oversee opening/closing, cash handling and security
• Resolve customer complaints and operational issues
• Assist with reports, scheduling, payroll and records, and step in for the Store Manager

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12
• 3 years' retail experience
• Management experience (advantageous)
• Sales and service management and budgeting
• Computer literate
• Communication skills
• Business understanding of retail trade, brand, customer and product
