Assistant Store Manager – Mr Price Home Kuruman

📝 About the role

Mr Price Home is hiring a permanent Assistant Store Manager for its Kuruman store (Northern Cape). The role helps lead the store team, drive sales and customer service, manage stock and run daily store operations alongside the Store Manager.

✅ Key duties

• Motivate and lead the store team
• Train and coach staff to deliver outstanding customer service
• Work with the Store Manager to meet sales targets and monitor KPIs
• Manage stock ordering, receiving, replenishment and counts; minimise losses
• Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation
• Oversee daily operations, opening/closing, cash handling and security
• Resolve customer complaints and operational issues
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards
• Assist with reports, scheduling, payroll and records
• Stand in for the Store Manager when needed

🎓 Requirements

• Grade 12
• 3 years' experience in retail
• Management experience (advantageous)
• Sales and service management
• Budgeting
• Computer literate
• Communication skills and business understanding of retail trade, brand, customer and product
