📝 About the role
Free State Health is hiring an Assistant Manager Nursing for Maternal Health (PNA7) at its Corporate Office in Bloemfontein. The role coordinates maternal health care, guidelines and stakeholder work.
✅ Key duties
- Supervise and coordinate effective and efficient patient care
- Initiate and take part in health promotion and communication
- Build working relationships with inter-professional and multidisciplinary teams
- Help analyse, develop and implement health guidelines, standards and procedures
- Manage resources effectively
🎓 Requirements
- R425 nursing diploma/degree or 4-year R174 degree allowing SANC registration as Professional Nurse and Midwife
- Postgraduate qualification in health care management / nursing administration
- Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse
- At least 8 years' nursing experience after registration, including 3 years at management level
- Experience in the field applied for
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to monitor and analyse maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality trends
