📝 About the role
The North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is re-advertising an Assistant Director: Demand Management post at Head Office in Mahikeng. The role manages needs assessments and the department's demand and procurement plans.
✅ Key duties
- Conduct needs assessments across the department
- Manage implementation of the Central Supplier Database
- Conduct market, industry and commodity analysis
- Train end users on demand and procurement plans
- Compile, maintain and implement the Demand Management and Procurement Plan
- Ensure specifications link to the strategic plan and budget; serve on the specification committee
- Compile bid files for procurement plan projects
- Report on the procurement plan monthly and quarterly
- Manage team members' performance
🎓 Requirements
- Grade 12 plus a 3-year National Diploma/Bachelor's degree (NQF 6/7) in SCM, Logistics or Financial Management
- At least 5 years' SCM experience, including 3 years at supervisory level in demand management
- Valid driver's licence
- Knowledge of SCM legislation (PPPFA, PFMA, Treasury Regulations) and Batho Pele
- Advanced computer literacy, leadership and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and extended hours
